Our fundraising efforts aim to secure adequate funding to establish multi-family housing units dedicated to providing temporary shelter for mothers and their children facing housing insecurity. These facilities would offer refuge for varying durations, ranging from a few weeks to several months, depending on individual circumstances, thereby enabling children to maintain a sense of stability and continuity in their lives. This initiative serves as a crucial lifeline for single mothers, or those seeking emergency housing due to safety concerns, and women recovering from narcissistic abuse. Its essential to recognize that abuse can manifest as unseen wounds, impacting individuals’ emotional well-being. The Haven Lodge will uphold strict and confidentiality measures to protect the dignity and safety of our residence, ensuring they can heal and rebuild their lives in a secure environment.
Moreover, strategic location planning is paramount in our approach. We prioritize placing these housing units in areas accessible via public transportation, ensuring ease of access for mothers seeking employment opportunities. Additionally, proximity to sought-after school districts is a key consideration, ensuring children have access to quality education and a safe learning environment. In addition to shelter, food, and grooming essentials, residents of the The Haven Lodge will benefit from a comprehensive support system. This includes access to coaching on resume refinement, interview techniques, entrepreneurial mentorship, financial planning, and literacy. Transitional financial aid is also provided to assist residents as they transition back into independent living. Our goal is to equip these women with the necessary tools and resources to thrive as they regain their independence and stability.
